Teresa DiPietro Marinelli
Teresa DiPietro was born in Agnone, Italy on May 31, 1874. She married Anthony Marinelli on December 8, 1898 in Chcago, Illinois. Anthony was born on January 17, 1875 probably in Cavello, Italy. His father died soon after he was born and his mother, Angelina, married Giovanni Spaccociello and they came to New York around 1879. They moved to Chicago around 1883. Anthony and Teresa made their home in Chicago Heights, Illinois. (1900 census). Sometime after 1920, their name shortened to Marnell. Anthony was a teamster in a steel mill. (WWI draft card). Around 1915, Teresa suffered a brain hemorrhage. She eventually died from this two years later, on November 24, 1917. She was 43. Anthony died on Feb. 7, 1928 at the age of 54. Their daughter, Angela, raised most of her brothers and sisters after the death of her parents. (1930 census) Anthony and Teresa had eleven children: Pasquale Pasquale was born on Jan 11, 1900 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. (WWI draft card) He married Angelina Meccia on September 4, 1920. (1930 census). They had 2 sons, Anthony and Paul. John John was born in 1903. or 1904. Angelo John was born on June 8, 1904. He married Violet Neopolitian on June 7, 1927. They had 2 daughters, Theresa and Marie. (1930 census). Angelo died in April, 1986 in Park Forest, Illinois. Violet died June 10, 2005 in Lowell, Indiana.
Angie Marnell and Violet Simone (Sam) Sam was born on February 8, 1906 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He married Mary Reini on September 1, 1935. Sam died in Las Vegas in 1991; Mary on May 21, 2001 also in Las Vegas. Angelina Angelina was born on Jan 1, 1908. After she raised most of her brothers and sisters after their parents died, she married Giacomo (Jacob) Biamonte on September 24, 1748. Jacob was born on Feb. 5, 1902 in Palermo, Italy. This was his second marriage (his first was to Josephine Pagoria). Angie died on Dec. 13, 1992 in Chicago Heights, Illinois.
Nicolino (Nick) and Gaetano Nick and Gaetano were born on November 9, 1909. Gaetano probably died in infancy. Nick married Jean Caprette on April 28, 1935. He died June 1979 in Chicago Heights. Dominico (Dominick) Dominick was born on November 18, 1911. He married Helen H. Helse. They had a son, Dominick K. and a daughter Helen Marie. Dominick, Sr. died Feb. 5, 1990, Helen on April 23, 1985. Carmella (Georgia) Georgia was born October 5, 1914. On April 15, 1944 she married Achille "Archie" Blanchette. The had 3 boys, Anthony, Nick & Jame; and 3 girls, Marie, Nancy & Virginia. Carmella died on April 26, 1996 in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
Angie Marnell and her sister, Carmella (Georgia) Augustino (Augie) Augie was born Jan. 20, 1916. He married Georgia M. LoBue on July 6, 1939. They had one daughter. Augie died died in September of 1981.
